The New Jersey Community Health Worker Association (NJCHWA) exists to collectively advocate, empower, educate, connect, and uplift our communities in pursuit of health equity, social justice, and optimal wellbeing throughout the state of New Jersey.
Community Health Workers (CHWs) in New Jersey are passionate change‑agents, dedicated to advancing the physical, social, and emotional health and wellbeing of all New Jersey residents. Grounded in trust, lived experience, and community connection, CHWs play a vital role in bridging gaps, amplifying voices, and supporting healthier futures.
Founded in 2025 by CHWs, for CHWs, and with our communities at heart, NJCHWA is a growing, collaborative statewide association of CHWs, allies, and partners united by a shared commitment to strengthening the CHW workforce and building more equitable, thriving communities across New Jersey.
